Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Principal Scientist to join a fantastic CRO on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on supplying clinical research services to global pharmaceutical organisations.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this position, you will discuss the status of work being conducted with laboratory management, lab project manager and any other team members.
  • Conduct regular upkeep/calibration of instrumentation or equipment.
  • You will generate or evaluate/approve pertinent documentation, for example: protocols, procedures, validation/study reports, SOP’s, CAPA’s, file notes, etc.
  • Guarantee all pertinent study documentation are distributed to the client and files within expected timeframes.
  • Assist in training and developing co-workers within the lab services division.
  • Arrange analytical studies from client on-boarding to final reporting with responsibility for the regulatory compliance and scientific integrity of the study.
  • Any other assigned duties.

  • An organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload and meet given deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a scientific discipline.
  • Acquaintance working within a regulated lab setting such as MHRA GCP for labs, GLP or GMP.
  • Capable of using and troubleshooting ELISA analytical systems.
  • Able to develop as well as validate analytical strategies using ELISA.
  • Capable of documenting lab information to a GXP standard.
  • Able to conduct quality control procedures.
  • Familiarity of working to written instructions.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
