Then this is the right role for you! We are looking for Principal Scientists in Genomics to join the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory in Leamington Spa.

What’s in it for you?

18 months Temp Contract

£73,456 per annum, £37.67 per hour

10% Retention Payment

Shift pattern for you to choose with to suit your needs

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for performance, welfare and engagement of large teams across multiple lab lines
  • Development and upskilling of lab staff
  • Support the design and implementation of scientific assays
  • Act as a mentor and final escalation point for technical and scientific issues, resolution
  • Direct line management of 4-6 Associate Principal Scientists
  • Perform Quality Assurance
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and senior management
Essential Criteria
  • Experienced in Molecular biology methods
  • Experience and knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing
  • MSc/ BSc in Biomedical Science/ Life Science
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Experience of training and supervising staffs in a laboratory setting
  • Using PCR methods
  • RNA extraction studies
