About the opportunity:

Jacobs are recruiting a Principle Nuclear Security Consult, to join the expanding Technology and Consultancy business within Jacobs Critical Mission Solutions – International. With a client base across Critical National Infrastructure, and a prominent position in the UK and international civil nuclear sector, Jacobs is looking for a proven physical security/asset protection senior professional with a strong history of delivery in major project environments. The role will have management responsibility for direct reports, and a remit to seek opportunities for growth.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Proven history in the delivery of SME nuclear security input to projects, ensuring that security requirements are captured
• Preparing and agreeing Security Case strategy, in full alignment with applicable regulation
• Managing delivery for the work undertaken within scope, against cost and programme to the satisfaction of the Key Stakeholders i.e. Safety Case Managers, Safety Case Owners, Client Team, Safety Committee, INSA/Peer Review, NSC, Regulators
• Producing, verifying, and approving calculations, analyses, design basis documentation and technical reports
• Acting as the Point of Contact for the Key Stakeholders, ensuring adequate communication between relevant parties
• Co-ordinating production of the security submission including all specialist security input
• Quality assurance of the outputs of subordinates

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrable experience in a senior security role within the UK nuclear sector
• Globally recognised security qualification, i.e. ASIS PSP/CPP, CSMP, etc.
• CPNI security training packages
• Formal training covering nuclear plant would be beneficial

Idally you will also have

• Must have the ability to achieve the criteria for SC vetting
• Knowledge & experience of SMR & AMRs would be beneficial, including development of security infrastructure, siting and security focussed assessment of Structures, Systems and Components
• Experience in UK CNI projects (e.g. oil, gas, etc.)
