As Enterprise Architecture Manager you will be responsible for driving the architectural consistency and maturity across multiple disciplines of existing architecture services. You will also address critical gaps in our ability to manage risk by leveraging key information.

  • Develop and maintain the framework for architectures and services, ensuring GSK has the tools, models, mechanisms, and governance associated to support GSK’s robust and complex information landscape
  • Drive and support individual information architectures that contribute to GSK operational efficiency, risk management, and business transformation, ensuring integration and consistency across multiple disciplines of information architecture services
  • Ensure architectures and associated services are aligned and measured to support business priorities
  • Address critical gaps in our ability to manage risk
  • Lead and support the development of value-based business cases for the introduction and expansion of information management and architecture capabilities
  • Perform as the Design Authority and primary advisor for the promotion, support, and implementation of information architectures
  • Drive the adoption of the Information Architectures on related projects
  • Articulate to senior management the benefits and limitations of the proposed Information architectures in supporting both current and planned business activity
  • Drive the adoption of data standards and data quality management techniques within the business and IT communities
  • Drive the definition and adoption of master data sources within the business and IT communities
  • Support the development and maintenance of information strategies and plans, ensuring these are technically viable, architecturally sound, and will deliver business value according to expectations
  • Drive the data and information competency levels within IT and within the GSK business
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business data management teams to maximize the opportunity to utilize the Information Management Services to support data management
  • Ensure the information architecture service deliverables are prioritized and are readily consumable by data analysts and project teams supporting both transactional systems and analytical systems
  • Address and respond to data challenges uncovered through use of transactional systems or re-use in analytical solutions by updating and enhancing Information architectures and related components
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends in data integration and design technologies and integrate them into the target architectures when appropriate
  • Maintain strong relationships with data management vendors
Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Global IT Organization (preferably Pharmaceuticals)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering or equivalent role (consult manager on equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Life Sciences
  • Experience in a Global Pharmaceutical IT Organization
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in technical data
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of principles and best practices of data integration and data quality management practices
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of quickly adapting skill set to meet the needs of changing technologies and business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams to deliver solutions
