Purpose
  • Provide site-wide engineering and technical support to the business in the efficient operation of existing plant facilities and services across the site.
  • Responsible for facilities specification and installation of manufacturing equipment in cleanroom and R&D labs.
  • Improve plant facilities and services strategies to support process production, quality, safety and financial metrics. Collaborate and interface with R&D and Fab Equipment Engineering teams on new product introductions, process enhancements, process changes, and equipment design modifications. Ensure all engineering related activities are conducted in accordance with established design and regulatory procedures.
  • Be an advocate and role model for safety; ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Documenting Design Changes, Specifications, SOP, and process changes. Provide guidance and support to manufacturing technicians on multiple shift schedules in a fast-paced production environment 24x7.
  • Collaborate with the operations staff on critical facilities and infrastructure requirements in a Cleanroom and R&D environment. Support Facilities Outsource Vendor/Contractors under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet KPIs for facilities and plant services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must support the continued safe and reliable operations of the Cleanrooms and R&D facilities on site.
  • Participate in an equipment reliability program by trending problems, performing proactive risk analysis, modifying equipment, improving and strengthening the PM and technical specifications programs.
  • Establish and improve written procedures for the daily operations, repair, and maintenance of site-wide facilities and infrastructure systems.
  • Manage contractors; specifications, performance and Service Levels in Cleanroom facilities.

  • Also important are skills and abilities necessary to support all facets of Environment, Health & Safety activities in the Fabs with Hazardous Occupancy operations including Hazardous Waste Regulations and Toxic Gas Ordinance.
  • Experience with design and / or maintenance of process chilled water systems and associated plant
  • Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements, such as FGAS regulations, ODS regulations, COMAH, CDM, SED, FET/PAT, etc.
  • Latest IEE wiring regulations qualification desirable.
  • HV / LV Experience, and Authorised Person Status would be preferred.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or similar discipline) is desirable but not essential.
  • 5+ years in Engineering, Cleanroom Facilities Design, Operation and/or Equipment fit up.
  • Strong Cleanroom HVAC, electrical, utilities, plant services experience.
  • Technical level supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong engineering experience including design, specification development, project management, payback analysis and problem solving is desirable.
  • AutoCAD, 3D design, and MS Project familiarity.
