An exciting opportunity has become available at a successful, busy and well-established multidisciplinary consultancy who are currently seeking a construction design management Principal Designer based in the York area. This role would be most suited to a Senior or high-level intermediate level Principal Designer who is keen to take their career to get stuck in across a variety of sectors as well as further their experience across a number of sites. The Principal Designer will have good knowledge of the pre-construction phase plan across a variety of sectors including Residential, Commercial and Retail with a specific focus on some huge new build office spaces in the Leeds area initially. Taking a leading role in a fairly Junior team this is a great opportunity for somebody who is looking to take more of a management role and is passionate about the industry to upskill staff around them. The Principal Designer must be happy to travel across the North as sites are stretched across a large area. The Principal Designers Role Prepare the pre-construction phase plan Undertake Construction Site Safety inspections Assist duty holders to develop pre-construction information Apply H&S and CDM knowledge to ensure CDM compliance is metThe Principal Designer NEBOSH General certificate or Construction H&S 2 years experience in a CDM role such as Principal Designer / CDM Advisor Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop Understanding of the pre-construction phaseIn return £45,000-£55,000 24 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday Hybrid working Pension Work laptop Career development supportIf you are Principal Designer considering your career opportunities, or looking for the next step, please call Matt Powell at Brandon James on (phone number removed).
