Low Carbon Economy Transition and Off-Shore Renewables

As the Business of Sustainability, ERM is committed to working with global organisations to deliver innovative solutions and helping them to understand and manage their sustainability challenges. And we transition to a low carbon economy, society is evolving to manage the risks and seize the opportunities. ERM helps clients through the low carbon transition, turning boardroom strategy into on-the-ground actions. To support this, we are investing heavily in the LCET (Low Carbon Economy Transition) area and off-shore renewables is an area where we are enhancing our footprint. This is a great opportunity for someone who believes in how renewable plays that key role in achieving the NET Zero commitment shared by many.

The ideal candidate will have environmental impact assessment (EIA) expertise in the consenting and licensing of offshore wind projects. It is expected that candidates would be excited by being part of the global energy transition, and have experience of achieving consent or discharging consent conditions under the NSIP framework, or s36, and are looking for additional responsibility as they develop their career. An interest in international markets, and the wider low carbon energy transmission would be advantageous as ERM is running a number of novel projects in this space.

Currently, we are working from home; and work location for this position can be discussed. It can either remain as a home-based position or be based in one of our UK offices after COVID.
