Are you dynamic, resilient and want to be involved in delivering change that drives Aviva strategy? If you do, you could be part of this transformation.

At Aviva we love to constantly innovate and improve the experience and security for our customers. You don’t need to be from an insurance background, we want to bring the best in class regardless of your specific industry experience.

Our one team approach means you will have great opportunities for career development across the Technologies and Business Units.

If you are motivated by making a difference, enjoy a variety of assignments, are keen to develop and have strong relationship building skills, this could be the role for you!

A bit about the job:

As Principal BA you will be leading solution scope and requirements in complex changes. You’ll take ownership of the business analysis activities on strategic projects and programmes or in a significant segment of the business

We’re looking for you to be accountable for integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with the business requirements and needs.

This will include leading and mentoring a team of business analysts

You’ll also be accountable for the development and professionalism of yourself and the business analyst community.

In Aviva we have three levels of Business Analyst

  • Business Analyst
  • Senior Business Analyst
  • Principal Business Analyst

These range from junior to senior levels. The difference as you move up the grade structure is the increase in scope, size and complexity of the change you will be working on and the seniority of the stakeholders you will be interacting with along with an increased focus on leadership, coaching and mentoring of colleagues.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Business Analyst and Principal Business Analyst positions only.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience of leading and shaping large and complex programmes along with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders to drive necessary change.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to work at pace with resiliency along with a willingness to try new ways of working and solutions (fail fast)
  • The ability to think out of the box, driving innovation in the way in which we deliver change and outcomes
  • Knowledge Industry best practices, including both existing and emerging technologies (ideally holding a professional Business Analysis qualification)

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £60000 - £82000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%)
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus
  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave
  • 29 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days
  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products
  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars
  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
  • 21 volunteering hours per year
