Cover Teacher - Primary Schools Calderdale

At Engage, we’re working with a number of primary schools across the Calderdale area that require day-to-day cover teachers. They are looking to build their regular pool of supply teachers whom they can depend on at short notice to cover staff sickness. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team and make a real difference to the lives of your pupils. Many of our cover teachers have gone on to gain permanent employment in schools on both a full-time and part-time basis depending on their personal situations.

About The Role

You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers across all year groups. The majority of the time work will be pre-planned however on occasion you may be required to bring your own activities for children to complete, we are therefore looking for qualified teachers only for this position. This role is for an immediate start.

About You

Experience working with children 4-11 years old

Qualified Teaching Status required (FQT/NQT)

Confident managing behaviour

An ability to build rapport with students

Have a fun but firm presence

An interest in education
