An exciting Primary Pastoral Lead opportunity has become available, working across Key Stages 1 and 2.

*** Primary Pastoral Lead role, starting immediately
*** £100 - £110 per day

The Primary Pastoral Lead Role:
As a Primary Pastoral Lead, you will be supporting pupils across all year groups in various capacities. Your main role will be monitoring the behaviour and wellbeing of pupil across the school, implementing effective intervention strategies, and mentoring the children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. As a Primary Pastoral Lead, you will need to work with pupils in a nurturing manner, providing a positive, secure learning environment. You will focus on the social, emotional and mental health of the pupils you work with, running sessions with them in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

The Primary Pastoral Lead:
To be eligible for this Primary Pastoral Lead position, it is important that you have extensive experience as support staff within a primary setting. You must have a Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification, and ideally be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This role requires you to approach subjects with a hollistic, person-centric focus, working with groups of children to improve their SEMH wellbeing.

The School:
This two-form entry, Ofsted ‘Good’ school located in the Birmingham ward of Erdington caters for KS1 and KS2 pupils, with a mixed intake. Behaviour can be challenging, and there is a high intake of SEN.
