The Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Primary Care Clinical Workforce Development Lead is an important role to support the delivery of NHS England (NHSE) priorities across the corresponding ICBs as part of the Southeast Workforce Training and Education (WT&E) Directorate. We lead and support the creation, sustenance, and development of the right workforce to meet population health needs through a transforming primary care landscape that includes integrated care partnerships and primary care networks.

Under direction of the KSS Primary Care Dean and Head of KSS School of Primary Care the post-holder will act as a clinical and educational leader across KSS and work with the corresponding training hub leads and embedded WT&E staff, being responsible for NHSE strategies, offering operational leadership of primary care workforce programmes and projects across the health and care system delivered through the KSS Primary Care School model.

The postholder will work with the Primary Care Dean and the Head of School of Primary Care to ensure the delivery of an integrated workforce across a spectrum of those supporting healthcare provision in Primary Care. The postholder will have responsibility for the promotion, co-ordination, provision, and management of multi-professional educational activities across Kent & Medway, Surrey Heartlands and Sussex Integrated Care Boards (ICB).

In addition, the postholder will have responsibility as part of a regional WT&E South East Primary Care Team working closely with other leads and managers across the South East and nationally to reduce variation, build consistency and ensure a quality learning experience.

The successful applicant will be expected to be a registered healthcare professional with experience of educational leadership in a community or primary care setting.

Candidates invited to interview will be required to prepare and present a 5-minute presentation.
