Energy trading is going through a turbulent time. You’re finding harder and harder to predict what’s going to happen next with freak events like Brexit or the pandemic.It’s also a weird place to be in, with the use of renewable energy coming in, could the market become much cheaper? (everyone would like to hope so!)If you’re looking to take your skills in pricing and portfolio management into something more innovative, then we have something totally different for you.Computing power is becoming commoditized, just as oil, gas and coal was.The Cloud hyperscalers - Google, Amazon and Microsoft are now in a pricing war with each other as the supply of what they have keeps increasing.We’re looking for someone like you from a trading background who understands how to hedge a portfolio optimally.Using Excel, VBA, Python and R - you’ll be able to create models and predictions.You’ll be directly working with a Head of Pricing and Portfolio.The business is a FinOps orientated Cloud Economics Series B scale up based in Waterloo.
