Amey are looking for motivated Premises Managers to join our team to provide excellent service and provide facilities management services in our Bradford Schools.

What is the purpose of this role?

Amey are looking for a Premises Manager to join the team working on a 25 year PFI schools maintenance contract for Bradford Schools. A part of this contract is ensuring that all schools are operating at the highest standards to ensure a good quality education for all. Each school has a Premises Manager who has overall responsibility for the running of the premise.

What will this role involve?

As Premises Manager, you will look after a team of around twenty people including a maintenance assistant, caretakers and a cleaning team. On a daily basis, you will:
  • Ensure health and safety obligations are met and manage statutory compliance for the premises
  • Look after all hard and soft services facilities management including planned and reactive maintenance
  • Lead a maintenance and cleaning team to ensure repairs are made and the clean is tidy and safe to be open always
  • Manage the supply chain and contractors on site
  • Ensure that all contractual obligations and KPI’s are achieved on a monthly basis
  • Build relationships, working closely with the school business manager and head teacher to ensure customer needs are met
What are we looking for?

Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena Good communication skills Team player Good at developing strong working relationships with on-site client and employees.

Previous experience of managing a team and understanding of health and safety processes.
