Are you diligent? – Do you know how to collaboratively lead a team? – Maybe you have previous veterinary experience or a passion for equine animal care.


We have an opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join our well-established practice at Wessex Equine.


You’ll be a pivotal member of our management team, supporting the Clinical Director in the management of the practice and the development of the business. You’ll recognise and implement improvements, ensuring that Wessex Equine continues to maintain all current accreditations.


As Practice Manager you will need demonstrable knowledge of recruitment, budgeting, human resources, health and safety, rota management, payroll and learning and development. The role is extremely varied and stimulating. You will also work closely with the leaders in reception and nursing, to support development of their teams and ensure excellent teamwork throughout the practice, whilst continuing delivery of a high standard of customer care.


This is a full-time position, working 8-hour days across Monday-Friday.


Salary and Benefits


Salary for the role of up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience. In addition, we offer an impressive range of benefits as part of the CVS Group.

Our Practice has been accredited as an RCVS Equine General Practice (Ambulatory), which means that it meets the highest standard of veterinary ambulatory care. In addition to complying with Core Standards, such as health and safety, hygiene and legal requirements, we also have access to diagnostic facilities and local referral hospitals.
