My client is an established Accountancy Practice based in Jarrow that are now looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their small vibrant team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at their Covid secure office.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end financial statements and accounts for Limited Companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders
• Managing a portfolio of clients dealing with daily queries
• Client communications - email/phone
• Self-assessments, corporate tax returns (CT600)
• VAT returns
• Using accounting software (TaxCalc, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero)
• Assisting the Director on complex cases or work
  

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within another accountancy practice
• Proficient in completing full company accounts
• An accountancy qualification such as AAT or above
• IT literate and experience with Cloud Accounting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with people at all levels
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and disciplined
• Organised and methodical with strong numerical abilities
• Able to work as part of a collaborative team
