Job Summary

We now have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer PR, Marketing & Communications Assistant to join Break The Mould.

Reporting to the Marketing Team leader, you will support the administration and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy that comprises press and media, social media influencers, partnerships with other wider organisations, all with the ultimate aim of growing the presence of Break The Mould.

Responsibilities

  • Recognising, forming, and developing relationships with vast journalists and media influencers.
  • Working closely with the Journalism team in assisting and creating press releases.
  • Establish collaborations to bring brand awareness, donations, and traffic.
  • Pitching our brand Break The Mould and our vision to the press, developing relationships with influencers, and identifying other marketing opportunities that would be useful to Break The Mould.
  • Writing compelling content and carrying out all marketing tasks

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a related role. If you don’t have any experience but can portray enthusiasm and commitment please do apply!
  • Outgoing, dedicated and confident with a natural ability to develop strong relationships and identify proactive and useful opportunities.
  • A passionate reader of newspapers, blogs, and magazines.
  • An understanding of how PR and the media works.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in using social media tools and channels
  • Available to volunteer at least 5 hours a week
