We have a fantastic opportunity for a PR Assistant Manager to join our Marketing team her at the Regatta Group .

In this role you will be working in close alignment with brand marketing, retail teams and agency partners to develop and deploy integrated commercial partnerships, ambassadors, PR and communications programmes and will act as a brand guardian across all territories and show evidenced commercial return on investment. You will also be managing PR agencies across selected European countries.

You will be joining a friendly and sociable team of festival goers, film buffs, foodies, campers, gardeners, surfers, those who walk with their Dogs, those who choose to run, charity volunteers, travellers, cyclers, cocktail makers, cooks and bakers!

The Impact You’ll Have In This Role

Commercial Partnerships
  • Develops strategies identifying brand appropriate commercial partnerships, influencers, events and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Negotiates and agree partnership activity and manages throughout to ensure commercial results
  • Develop a macro influencer strategy that support our brand campaigns and key seasonal moments. Effectively measure the success of this influencers with ongoing analysis and reporting
  • In conjunction with Group commercial manager, ensures contractual agreements are risk averse
  • Plans, attends, and manages key events, ensuring brand visibility, consistency, and commercial pull through
  • Uses all events and partnerships to grow an engaging Regatta consumer database utilising digital and ABL knowledge
  • Plans and attends photoshoots related to our ambassador, influencer and partnerships. Manage samples, props along with image and content management.
  • Supports country managers to identify and implement local PR opportunities using a core events kit attending events where appropriate
  • Supports country managers with territory specific influencer marketing to build brand awareness and engagement
PR
  • Develops a PR plan that supports an omni-channel and 360 approach to all brand collateral utilising the appointed PR agencies
  • Manages relationship with PR agency including performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Works with all territories that have PR agencies to ensure consistency of messaging with particular focus in Ireland
  • Forges relationships and maintains regular dialogue with core media. To include digital and outdoor media where applicable and involve additional digital expertise where necessary to hit KPI’s (including but not exclusive to targeted ads)
  • Produces all seasonal press and trade press releases ensuring PR and commercial gains are made through targeted Product promotion and delivery of core brand messages
  • Co-ordinates and leads all press meetings at trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Plans and co-ordinates gear reviews with core outdoor media, ensuring appropriate products are supplied
  • Represents the company directive on brand and any crisis management issues - is the first point of contact for all press
  • Works with retail and local marketing teams to support ABL store openings and events
  • Manages the organisation of press promotions and competitions and evaluates the results of these
  • Internally promotes PR and Brand activity within the business
Copy
  • Accountable for producing accurate and engaging brand relevant copy for various channels
  • Defines and instills consistency of brand voice considering all trade and consumer requirements
  • Applies creative flair and keeps messaging consistent whilst delivering fresh and exciting new approaches each season
Communications
  • Working with the in-house social teams…assists in the planning and management of social media channels content including the editing of imagery – ensure content reflects consumer marketing activity and grows the brand community
Budgets
  • Manages and plans all PR and partnership budgets
  • Accountable for ensuring all activity is achieved within agreed budgets.
  • Ensures all budget records are up to date for agreed review meetings.
  • Forecasts proposed budgetary spend and manages re forecasting throughout the year for budget reviews.
Measurement & Reporting
  • Agrees and carefully monitors all commercial partnership results against KPIs including sales, reach and database growth - reporting back to Senior Marketing Manager & Marketing Director.
  • Records and evaluates all media coverage, preparing monthly reports and coverage books to be shared with the wider business and updates Brand Marketing Manager & Marketing Director quarterly on PR agency performance against KPIs.
  • Comprehensively records and evaluates all social media activity monthly, preparing campaign specific reports where necessary.
  • Supplies key information for MIB report.
Travel
  • Plans, co-ordinates and carries out UK PR travel and overseas travel to support PR activity within export markets and to product launches and trade fairs within agreed travel budgets
  • Act as a Regatta ambassador on all business travel to build strong professional relationships with sales teams, customers and partners
Who We Are Looking For
  • Significant experience of PR and commercial brand partnerships at an executive / senior level – minimum of 3-4 years
  • Track record of influencing commercial PR decisions
  • Track record of planning and delivering evidenced return on PR investment
  • PR or Marketing Degree
  • Knowledge of outdoor fabric technologies/activities useful
  • Willing to undertake a reasonable amount of business travel
  • Engaging and confident presentation skills
  • Media savvy
  • Excellent networker with ability to forge and leverage strong commercial relationships
  • Computer literate including strong Powerpoint skills
  • Exceptional standard of written English and copy writing experience
  • Enthusiastic highly organised individual with a commercial outlook
  • Entrepreneurial, highly creative but pragmatic, with a flair for marketing and PR
  • Able to plan and manage all aspects of PR agency, events, and partnerships budgets
