This is a great opportunity to work with one of the largest globally renowned automotive manufacturers, they have offices based around the world and are currently growing exponentially within the UK!Hardware Systems Engineer to join on a full time basis to develop Real Time ECU’s for vehicle powertrain control systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Capturing and analysing customer requirements using Polarion.
  • Designing control algorithms & strategies (using Matlab/Simulink) and autocode generation of production intent code
  • Designing system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
  • Development of safety monitoring strategies to the EGAS standard
  • Developing validation tests for electrical test bench, HiL and vehicle
  • Provide expertise for investigations and problem solving activities
  • Calibrating sensor interfaces and diagnostic strategies
  • Calibrating servo controls and regulators
  • Supporting the customer’s engine and vehicle testing
  • Supporting system and hardware DFMEA
What We’re Looking ForTechnical
  • Evaluate customer and internal requirements and propose electronics hardware solutions
  • Prepare ECU technical documentation
  • Interface with customer for hardware related items
  • Interface with internal hardware supplier for technical related items including quality
  • Develop and maintain test equipment, tools and processes in line with required automotive standards
