Employment: Permanent (Hybrid)

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Remote or onsite: Hybrid with 2-3 days/week onsite

Interview rounds: 1 internal and 1 client

Job Description:

Experience:

• 3+ Years of Power BI report building within the Insurance Sector

• UK Insurance Domain exposure, Especially Motor & Home Insurance

• Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a BI Developer

• Ability to design, build, and deploy interactive user interfaces for interrogating data

• Hands-on experience in the creation of Dynamic reporting, Custom visuals

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• In-depth understanding of how the Power BI Service works

• Proficient in writing SQL

• Knowledge of SSAS (Tabular and Multi-dimensional) , Flow and Power Apps beneficial

• Familiar with Jira and Confluence

• Understanding the UK Insurance Market & Financial reporting is essential.

• Presentable, personable, open & collaborative with the ability to bridge the worlds of insurance & information technology

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Passion for quality and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Claims Manager on numerous projects and take ownership of reporting solutions

• Translate business needs to technical specifications

• Design, build and deploy BI solutions and reporting

• Maintain and support the data analytics Platform

• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting

• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems and reporting

• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses

• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects

Develop and update technical documentation
