My Client - (A Global forwarding thinking company) are looking for a Poultry Caretaker to join the team. The role is based on a 6/1 working pattern. With hourly rates that reflect this of £9.47 - £18.94 per hour. Please note - This role will include weekend working.

Job purpose:

The key responsibility of this position is ensuring that the premium livestock is well maintained and always ensuring wellbeing of the birds.

Tasks and Responsibilities

To proactively maintain poultry to a high standard through:

• Ensuring that stock has access to fresh water and food to maintain full health and vigour.
• Ensuring that stock is free from pain, injury or disease by ensuring preventative measures.
• Ensuring that conditions and treatment avoid mental suffering to the stock.
• To observe all hygiene rules, this includes personal hygiene, hand washing, boot dipping/changing and the wearing of all protective clothing.
• To strictly adhere to all bio-security rules.
• To ensure food is weighed accurately.
• Maintain house hygiene, dusting, light fitment cleaning, sweeping and cleaning boot dips.
• Maintain accurate record keeping - house temperature, mortality etc.
• Keeping the farm clean and tidy.
• Egg Grading
• Adhere to all Farm Health and Safety rules and procedures.
• Any other reasonable requests made by the Farm Manager

• Being able to work efficiently on own initiative.
• Highly motivated with a ’can do’ attitude and a willingness and enthusiasm to take on new challenges
