Job TitlePlumbing and Heating Trainer

Reports toTraining Centre Manager

Overall Purpose

The Plumbing and Heating Trainer is responsible for delivering training and education programmes related to plumbing and heating systems, their installation, operation and maintenance. This role aims to ensure that all Learners gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work with plumbing and heating systems effectively and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Training Materials: complete understanding of planning and delivering of training courses, presentations, manuals and hands-on exercises related to relevant courses whilst compiling with awarding bodies policies on equality, diversity and needs of Learners.

Conduct Training Sessions: deliver training sessions through classroom instruction, practical demonstrations and hands-on workshops to Learners ensuing that they comprehend the principles and practices of each course

Provide Technical Support: offer technical support to Learners, addressing questions, concerns and troubleshooting issues related to installations, maintenance and design where applicable

Stay Informed: keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in all related technologies and regulations ensuring that training materials remain current and in line with awarding bodies course requirements

Assess Learner Progress: evaluate Learner performance through assessments, quizzes and practical evaluations to gauge their understanding and proficiency. Invigilate written and online examinations

Maintain Training Equipment– ensure that training area, equipment, tools and demonstration systems are in good working order and are properly maintained

Safety Compliance: promote safety best practices and adhere to safety regulations when conducting training sessions involving potentially hazardous equipment

Documentation: liaise with the training administration team regarding pre-requisites and Recognised Prior Learning and maintain records of Learner attendance, performance and feedback to continually monitor the training courses and where necessary act on Learner feedback. Ensure compliance to all data protection and security processes and procedures

Internal Verification: monitoring, evaluating and improving assessment practices to ensure that they meet established standards and criteria

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience and skills required

• Teaching qualification essential
• Previous experience in delivering plumbing and heating / renewable training to Learners preferrable
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• String problem solving abilities
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols associated with plumbing and heating systems
• Organisational skills to maintain training records and materials
• Ability to stay up to date with evolving plumbing and heating system technologies
• Safety-conscious and able to enforce safety protocols

• Full time, permanent, on-site vacancy
• Salary up to £45,000 per annum
• Govt Pension Scheme
• Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
• Start Date asap
• Holiday – 28 days per annum including bank holidays increases by 1 day per complete holiday year up to a maximum of 5 days
