At our GKN Filton site we have a vacancy for a plumbing apprenticeship that will also lead to acheiving gas certification. You’ll work alongside experienced plumbers/gas engineers and learn how to install heating systems, boilers, repairs and maintenance. You’ll be fully supported by our central HR team and receive a comprehensive induction plan

What will the apprentice be doing?
You’ll be assisting fully trained plumbers/gas engineers on day to day acitivities including:
installing heating sytems & boilers plus repairs & maintenance.
reading & interpreting drawings
using plant & equipment once trained
you will work as a part of a team that supports each other
Health & Safety is our top priority and you must follow our guidelines to ensure you and we are safe and that materials are used safely
Complete your apprenticeship studies to the best of your ability
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship training will be provided by City of Bristol College and you will attend on a day release basis. In addition we offer full onsite support as well as mentoring from our central learning and development team and past apprentices. Following the completion of the Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will receive a level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician.
