Plumber/Heating Engineer

Ftec have been growing year on year and we are looking for an experienced plumbing and heating engineer, for full time permanent employment, to join our team.

The applicant should have knowledge and experience in plumbing installations, first and second fixing, washroom installs, commercial plant rooms and planned and reactive maintenance. Experience of installation and maintenance of heating systems would also be an advantage, with a commercial gas or HVAC qualification.

Day to day duties will include but not be limited too:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, including, but not limited to plant and water hygiene inspections, plumbing, filter changes, and various non specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
• Carry out remedial works identified from planned maintenance and reactive callouts.
• To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required, and requested by management.
• Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
• Ensure company & Site policies and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Occasionally site emergencies, outside of normal working hours.
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
• Complete any other associated task requested by the management.

Skills & Experience:

• Time served apprenticeship with a minimum of 3 years experience
• City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing
• Water Hygiene / L8 competent would be an advantage
• Gas/heating qualification and experience would be an advantage
• Knowledge and use of computer software – Microsoft Office, Building Management System.
• Full Driving License
