Position: Playleader

We are looking for a Playleader to work at our Breakfast Club opening in September 2023 in St Marks’s Parish Church, Shelfield, Walsall. The breakfast club is for children who attend St Francis Catholic Primary School.

Monday to Friday 7.30am till 9.00am during term time

Job Description:
*Managing the day-to-day running of the Breakfast Club
*Liaise with other staff daily
*Liaise with the school daily and create a positive working relationship
*Manage staff team daily
*Deal with questions / complaints professionally
* Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Breakfast Club, including setting up and clearing up.
* Preparing breakfast in line with club’s Healthy Eating Policy.
* Supervising play opportunities with children.
* Contributing towards planning and preparation of craft activities and assisting children with these.
*Ensuring the children have a fun, enjoyable and exciting experience in club.

Qualifications: A level 2 or 3 in CCLD / Playwork an advantage

Current First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates an advantage.

The successful candidate will be a lively, enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. They must be able to get on well with, and respect all children and adults, must be prepared to ‘muck-in’ with all tasks and must have a good understanding of safety awareness and risk assessment. They must be willing to undergo relevant initial and on-going training and DBS check

Part-time hours: 7.5 per week

Salary: £12.00 per hour

  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
