Astroscale are looking for a Systems Engineer experienced working at platform level to join them for a 6-month contract.With a background in the space industry and a good understanding of spacecraft platform architecture and design justification, you will be joining a busy and dynamic team at our offices in Harwell (hybrid working available.)This role will involve working across all teams involved in our Elsa M mission so you will need to be a confident communicator and comfortable working across all levels, to ensure that the design of the project and mission is closely monitored and the engineering secure.Responsibilities
  • Support the technical lead to monitor design changes across the project
  • Reverse engineer where needed to identify potential subsystem effects
  • Own and maintain the Design Justification File
  • Coordinate with all teams to gather the information needed and check all systems will work effectively.
Essential Skills
  • A strong background in spacecraft platforms architecture
  • A strong background in spacecraft systems
  • Experience with design justification
  • Experience supporting technical leads in similar roles.
Desirable Skills
  • Wider space to ground & RF experience
