You’ll have the opportunity to build with the best in the industry while driving Gr4vy’s product marketing strategy from the ground up.About the rolePlatform Engineers at Gr4vy join our talented and enthusiastic team and collaborate across engineering, product, and other stakeholders. We work in a kanban method & regularly share, reflect and iterate on our work.Gr4vy’s services are a combination of Python 3.9 and Typescript and we use Google Cloud as our infrastructure provider.Key responsibilitiesAs a Platform Engineer at Gr4vy you’ll:Design, build and manage the underlying internal services and processes required by software engineering teams to deliver Gr4vy’s higher level services, enabling the other engineering teams to deliver work with substantial autonomy.Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to understand their needs, prototyping solutions quickly and gathering fast feedback on what works and what doesn’t.Have a strong focus on usability and reliability, treating the platform as a product and ensuring it is fit for purpose.Encourage adoption of new internal services, with a focus on developer experience - Creating How-to guides, tutorials, or example code to ease adoption.Have strong communication skills, and be comfortable discussing problems and solutions with your team-mates. You’ll be asked to give your input & ideas to help make decisions and shape solutions.Enjoy learning, teaching & sharing your experience with your colleagues in various ways; we encourage code review, pairing, mentoring, and getting & giving regular feedback.Skills and ExperienceDesirableExperience with Google Cloud is ideal, experience with any public cloud is good.Programming with Python, Go or JavaScript.Preference or desire to work with serverless technologies.Terraform or other infrastructure as code experience.Automation experience.Understanding of what Continuous Delivery is and how it can be implemented.Strong Linux experience.Passion for open-source technologies and the open-source community.UsefulExperience with working in a regulated environment, especially PCI DSS.Any InfoSec or Application Security experience.Understanding of Kanban and experience working with a kanban method.Have seen good (and bad) infrastructure, and have opinions about what works and what. doesn’t.Why you’ll love working at Gr4vyYou’ll be joining at a truly momentous time in our company’s life cycle.
