This is a permanent role where you will work Monday to Friday, 8am – 5.30pm, with optional overtime opportunities.


Responsibilities within your new role

The role of the Plant Trainer & Assessor is based at the Livingston hub; however, occasional travel will be necessary for on-site training and VQ assessments.

The primary objectives of this role include:

  • Conducting training sessions and assessments in accordance with CPCS standards
  • Evaluating candidates for SVQ Level 2 in plant and groundworks operations
  • Designing and delivering training for various short courses
  • Fulfilling any additional duties as required

The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to broaden their range of course delivery.


Your experience, qualifications and personality

The ideal candidate for this role should currently possess a valid CPCS Tester card, with a preference for categories such as Dumper, Roller, 360 Excavator (>10t), and Telehandler. Required qualifications include a Teaching Qualification such as PTTLS, AET, or an equivalent, as well as an Assessor Award like D32/33, A1, L&D9I, or an equivalent. You should have experience in a similar role along with a passion for promoting safety and well-being in the workplace.
