Elevation’s Engineering & Manufacturing Leadership division are working with a well-established, market-leading manufacturer in its industry with the hire of a forward-thinking and innovative Plant Manager.

Reporting into the Group Operations Director this Plant Manager will play a key role operating at a senior level with single-site responsibility; overseeing site operations; delivering across all areas of performance improvements and customer commitments.

With a turnover of ~£30m and employing approx. 250 people, this is a fantastic opportunity to run a single site operation as Plant Manager.

Plant Manager - Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site operations teams to deliver results with full P&L responsibility
  • Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement across the site with clear objectives outlined and delivered
  • Oversee operations budgets, performance improvements and cost reduction targets
  • Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of core values to create a cohesive unit that is responsive to increasing demands
  • Deliver succession plans to create high performing teams
  • Collaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the business

The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • University Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management or similar
  • Higher Degree in Operations Management/MBA (preferred)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen practical experience
  • Experience as a Senior Plant / Operations / Managerial capacity overseeing a team of 200+
  • Worked in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused manufacturing facility
  • Proven skills in the introduction of new products into manufacturing
  • Skilled in improving safety performance and managing people effectively
