Plant Manager - Permanent - Yorkshire
Quanta are currently looking for a Plant Manager to join and international company to lead an new power plant. The plant is operational and is performing very well.
We are looking for someone to lead the O&M business and will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of the power station’s performance. Ideally, we are looking for someone to take the reins and guide the current process and improve the way the plant operates.
As the Plant Manager you will be responsible to ensure the plant runs to the highest availability but is a Safe manner. You will also be the key interface to the plant owners and their representatives and reporting to the O&M Director.
Responsibilities.

  • Maximise plant performance in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Responsible for all operating activities working with the Operations Manager and the Maintenance Manager.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Planning for preventive maintenance and ensuring repetitive problems are kept to a minimum. Troubleshoot equipment and assist in diagnosing problem areas.
  • Lead all aspects of staff management, including recruitment, induction, training, employee development and staff retention.

Technical background and power industry experience

  • 5+ years thermal power plant management experience.
  • Degree/HND level engineering
