Position Title:Plant Administrator

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

Position Location:Whittlesey

Requisition ID: 10036

‘We are Family’ is not just what we say about McCain, but its how we feel about our teams and the people our teams come into contact with – be it suppliers, customers or our own colleagues. That’s why its important to us to have a person at the ‘face’ of those interactions who is committed to excellent customer service.

We are currently looking for a Plant Administrator to join our Whittlesey team and to be the first point of call for all visitor, contractor and team member queries. This is a busy role and no two days will be the same as you will also be providing essential administrative support to our Whittlesey team and helping to ensure that factory communications are kept live and up to date. Not just this, but you will help to raise orders, and be responsible for consumables on site including photocopier, stationary supplies and ensuring that both incoming and outgoing mail is directed in a timely way. You will be on hand to assist the smooth running of factory visits and audits, ensuring that any plant visit is organised and everything is considered to showcase our site at its best.

What does it take to be successful in this role?.... a strong commitment to customer service and a positive attitude! You will be familiar with a number of Microsoft computer packages (excel, word etc) and have great attention to detail to ensure accurate reports are raised and PO orders generated.

It more important to us to get the right person rather than specify the numbers of hours that needs to be worked for this role, so we are open to both full time or part time applications. Being the ‘face’ of our site will not be achieved by working from home so we are not able to offer this for this particular position.

Although we do encourage you to taste the goods you’ll be pleased to know we don’t pay you in chips. For working hard, you’ll also get a great salary and some pretty good benefits including:

  • An excellent pension where we will pay double what you do, up to a maximum of 12% of your pay
  • Flexible holidays – where you can buy & sell up to 5 days holiday per year
  • Private medical insurance scheme
  • Optional health cash plan
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • ‘Chips In’ Volunteering Day Off - to make a positive impact to the competitiveness, resilience, and long-term development of McCain communities across the globe

And of course, being part of a Global business there are great opportunities to shine/thrive should you wish to relocate in the future. We have an ambitious 5 year growth plan that presents development & progression opportunities for those who seek it out.
