The Planning Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership team and is responsible for both strategic long term planning of the Planning function and day to day execution to ensure optimisation and delivery of product.
The Planning Manager is directly responsible for site functions is also expected to coordinate the global planning and inventory needs through dotted line relationships.
This is a 12-18 month maternity cover.

Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Planning Manager to join a leading chemicals manufacturing business for a maternity cover.
The Planning Manager is directly responsible for the team ensuring efficient plant planning maximising throughput and effective communication; Product is shipped on time in full and Inventory levels and optimised globally; Cycle counts, inventory accuracy and optimisation are a key planning metrics for this role; A high OTIF delivery from site.
The Planning Manager is directly responsible for the effective and efficient transportation planning for European shipments as well as global logistics; Balancing transportation plan against plant requirements; Building excellent relationships with all external providers and key stakeholders will be key to success; Ensure compliance to all processes and procedures to ensure a smooth flow of product to the customer; Ensure Planning audits are in place to provide compliance and departmental readiness for audits at any time.
Profile
You will have at least 7 years of relevant experience in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Planning. Preferably, you will have University degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, and CI certification in approved methodology will be advantageous.
