We’re hiring a Planning Executive as part of our Media Planning Team based in London.
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a bright and inquisitive Executive who will enjoy working and learning alongside a collaborative team and one of Carat’s most prominent clients. This role will allow you find and establish your strengths in client leadership and media planning whilst providing support to the wider team in delivering innovative and creative media campaigns.
You will be confidently communicative with a head for numbers, able to work autonomously where needed but open to collaboration on larger projects with members of your team and wider stakeholders.
You’re able to set deadlines, manage expectations of delivery and build relationships with both clients and internal teams to both support your line leaders and hit your own personal growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Exhibit first class project management skills which support the delivery of multiple live and upcoming campaign workstreams through effective mobilisation of agency and inhouse specialists, working with the wider team to ensure all key deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Client Management: Support the delivery of outstanding client service for your clients and build trusted partnerships with them. Respond in a timely and accurate manner to requests for information and work seamlessly with internal stakeholders and colleagues across the network in order to deal with their requests.
  • Specialist Management: Develop a collaborative and respectful relationship with our specialist internal, and client inhouse teams to facilitate the operation of media planning and administration of plans.
  • Understanding our Tools: Understand the Dentsu CCS suite of tools and work with Account Managers and Directors to use them to plan, optimise and rationalise our responses to client’s briefs.
  • Understanding our Client’s Business: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the client’s products and services and stay abreast of the changing dynamics within their industry and competitive set. Able to follow presentations and meetings, take notes and summarise with the team.
  • Finance: Support the finance process on the account ensuring your contributions are smooth and error-free, obtain POs in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring the PO tracker is kept up to date and that all spend commitments are adhered to by the media teams. Ensure that total invoice amounts are checked within budget at month end, and no unbilled media is built up. Take lead on Vodafone goods receipting process with the support of the team. Prioritise swift resolution of any existing issues.
Development: You will be supported by the wider team to ensure your development progresses throughout your role. From learnings the purpose and use of finance and planning tools, to the wider Dentsu purposes and planning philosophies we will ensure that your development follows the path that most interests you and allows you to chart your journey through media.
Planning responsibilities:
  • Work as a team with the relevant account Managers and Directors to develop strategic recommendations that provide consumer focused solutions to client business challenges. Assist this process by utilising our agency tools and insight and understanding of our client’s businesses.
  • Support Managers and Directors with administration of media plans, ensuring accuracy and relevancy and the capturing of plans in Vodafone’s planning platform Lumina.
  • Supported by the senior team around you to begin to build your planning expertise by developing knowledge of media theory, inductions into each channel and Carat’s proprietary Designing for People planning approach.
