The Logistics and Transport department is at the heart of Airbus’s ability to deliver quality products to our customers through a service they depend on.
We are a transnational department within the wider Airbus organisation and are looking for the people who want to make a difference and become the best in what they do.
This fast paced environment and an ever changing landscape ranges from end to end deployed logistics including small aircraft parts to major oversized transport via air, land and sea.
Spanning across all three programmes (Long Range A330, Widebody A350 and Single Aisle - A320 & A321 aircraft) we handle and deliver innovative design solutions whilst exploring delivery methods of the future. Working in Logistics and Transportation projects, you are a key player in enabling Broughtons final wing delivery through Beluga operations and delivery to final assembly lines in Toulouse and Hamburg.
We are looking for energetic, forward thinking and digitally minded individuals to be driving the business into the future and promoting the function for the next generation.
What will you be doing?
During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include;
  • Accountable for implementing and developing project plans for improvement opportunities.
  • Accountable for integration of projects into the operational manufacturing areas and prove demonstrated benefits.
  • Engage with the operational departments working closely with the logistics teams to gain experience of processes and procedures to support in wing manufacture.
  • Supporting the logistics business by attending high level reviews and producing progress reports, key performance indicators and delivery measures, and looking for continuous improvements.
  • Working closely with the head of function and the Logistics management team.
  • Analysis of data, looking for opportunities for improvements and development.
  • Carry out investigations and root cause analysis into reported logistics disruption on the shop floor.
  • Support and promote risk and opportunity culture to prepare for the future.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;
  • Knowledge in Supply chain logistics and be confident to work in a demanding logistics/operational environment.
  • Knowledge of Google Applications
  • Sensitive to client’s needs, can develop good client relationship
  • Collaborates well within a team
  • Organize and monitor office tasks and processes so that work progresses more efficiently.
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic always looking for opportunities
  • Well organised and proactive.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
