We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated admin assistant to join our busy Placement Team. Our engineering and architecture undergraduates undertake a placement in industry as part of their sandwich degree. This is a varied and vital role providing administrative support to students, the Placement Team and employers.

You will be collating information from students starting new placements and providing admin support for the assessment of student placement assignments. You will be involved in the organisation of student interviews and assessment centres and provide a friendly face for enquiries from students and staff.

You will be managing and updating our IT systems and should be open to learning new computer systems such as Moodle, Office 365 and SAMIS. A high level of written English will be essential. You will need excellent interpersonal skills and be confident working as part of a dynamic team

We are a supportive and welcoming team of Placement Officers and one Placements Administrator supporting students to find a placement year in industry. Details of our team can be found here: Improve your employability with an engineering placement year (bath.ac.uk)

In-depth training will be provided. The role will be based on campus in the Engineering and Design Placement Office. There will be some opportunity to work from home outside of University term times. The role is 0.2 FTE, which day or two half days worked will be discussed with the successful applicant. The role is for a fixed term period from 4/10/2021 with and expected end date of 4/10/2022.
