An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Education Team in the Imaging Department as a Placement Practice Educator to support the training and learning of students and staff. It is an HEE funded fixed term contract/secondment to the 31st March 2023. Future funding for this post has not yet been agreed but is expected to continue into the next 2 financial years (2023/24 and 2024/25).

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Radiographer with an interest in teaching/education to provide support, knowledge and pastoral care to the many students that work within the Imaging Directorate. A large proportion of time will be supporting students in the general radiography modality but the role will encompass all disciplines within Imaging and a close working relationship with all superintendents and service managers is expected.

The candidate will be expected to work at The Royal Stoke and County sites as well as in the Community Hospitals, providing training and support for students that are placed there. it is expected that the candidate will have discussed the opportunity with their line manager in advance to confirm their support for the seconded post.

A formal teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
