About GO2MA

After many years of teaching students, Go2 Music Academy was founded in 2020 by experienced professional Musician and Tutor, Ben Johnsen, to bring a fun and innovative solution for music lessons to the local area of Eastbourne.

Now, Go2 Music Academy is an award-winning, 70-student, rapidly expanding, music school situated in the heart of Old Town in Eastbourne. We offer our students a wide range of contemporary group sessions in predominantly guitar, piano, drums, vocals, ukulele and bass, which we’re hoping to expand in years to come. Alongside our regular sessions, we also provide opportunities for students to perform in workshops and live events which are dotted throughout the year.

Job Specification

  • Plan your own group sessions
  • Teach mostly group sessions that usually run 16:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday
  • Attend ad-hoc events and workshops when necessary
  • Take attendance at every session
  • Follow our child protection and health & safety regulations
  • Send feedback and homework to parents after each session
  • Take progress videos for parents using our dedicated school camera

Person specification

  • Extremely reliable
  • Excellent with people - particularly children from 4 years old upwards
  • Enhanced DBS certificate holder & subscribed to the DBS update service (or willingness to do so)
  • Able to commute to Eastbourne Old Town
  • Always goes above and beyond
  • We’re particularly interested in candidates who are in, or would like, a career in teaching
  • We’re also particularly interested in multi-instrumentalists!
  • Must have a good understanding of music theory
