Job Summary

To fabricate OE products by means of assembly, build, pick and/or manufacture – across Abingdon Production departments: Central Fabrication, Silicone, Assembly (Componentry/Knees), Conventional and Warehouse to agreed company procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Preparation and manufacture all materials/parts associated with OE prosthetic and orthotic componentry, products and appliances according to supplied specification, procedure, quality standard and within an agreed manufacture lead.
To assess the prescription/works order specification, understand the nature of its requirements and ensure that finished products comply with any associated measurement charts quality checks.
Ensuring correct materials/components are issued for the job and that appropriate tools are available and are safe to use.
Assist/ carry out any production tasks/processes as reasonably required across Production departments.
To assist and support the Production Manager in the identification of any quality problems and assist in providing effective solutions.
Prepare, complete and maintain production and inspection records as required.
Ensure adequate identification of WIP is maintained at all times.
Ensure production activities are undertaken in compliance to company/site H&S procedures and H&S Regulations.
Where appropriate use the current I.T system in accordance with identified procedures.
Ensure that internal confidential information is kept confidential from external sources unless permission is granted by Senior Management.
Uphold the QMS as defined by the Group Quality Manager.

Support Duties

Oxford Centre admin/stores.
Oxford Centre clinical/technician support.
Production administration support as reasonably required.
