North East Futures UTC is a new University Technical College (UTC) in central Newcastle who are looking for a teacher of AQA A-level Physics and AQA GCSE Physics for two days per week. Alternatively, a AQA GCSE Science (probably physics) only teacher if they would prefer not to teach A-level Physics. The position would start immediately after Christmas and continue this academic year. This is a 2 day per week (Monday and Friday) long term supply position required directly after Christmas The working hours are 8:30 to 4:20 on Monday and 8:30 to 3:20 on a Friday. PPA time will also be given as this post will require a small amount of planning and assessment. You will have your own lab directly next door and adjoining to the other physics teacher. They also have an experienced science technician as part of the team who works full time. You will work in an exceptionally well resourced UTC with direct access to industry partners as physics lies within their specialism of healthcare science. Like any other teacher you will have the use of a laptop, access to ExamPro, OUP Kerboodle and our detailed curriculum plans. Students have their own textbooks and revision guides.
