Pharmaceutical Process and Project Engineer - Norfolk

Opportunity:

This is a brand new opportunity that has been created due to expansion. Are you currently working as a Senior Project and Process Engineer? Does your experience include new equipment installation and validation, continuous improvement projects, troubleshooting and root cause analysis? Want to work for global leaders? Your role as a Process and Project Engineer based in Norfolk will involve providing technical support to project implementation and product manufacturing. This will include equipment qualification, installation as well as administering the facilities calibrations and maintenance program.

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Driving continuous improvement manufacturing projects.
  • Installing and validating manufacturing equipment.
  • Performing risk assessments.
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Providing process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Understanding the end to end production process from weighing and mixing of raw materials through to packing and releasing of final product.
  • Developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.
  • Designing, running, testing and upgrading systems and processes.
  • Ensuring the new processes are designed and run to deliver high quality products at lowest costs, while ensuring that the new processes comply with EH&S, GMP and 6s methodology.
  • Developing regular routine planned maintenance tasks for the production line equipment in line with the procedures and programmes in place. Have extensive knowledge of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance).

This is a 9 months contract which the client will review for a possible extension however everything is dependent on the individual and business performance. The hourly PAYE rate is £35.75.

Skills:

  • Ideally have medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • BEng degree required.
  • Equipment installation and validation experience.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving experience.
