Personal Secretary to Chairman & Director

Careline Lifestyles is a specialist provider of residential and nursing care for adults with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, mental health needs, learning and complex physical disabilities. We are family run and have been established for over 30 years. Careline Lifestyles have an in-house team of dedicated professionals that supports people to live meaningful lives and reach their personal potential.

The role reports into the Executive Assistant but is solely responsible for supporting our Chairman and fellow Director on a range of private and business matters.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a diverse key role supporting the Chairman and Director with both business and private secretarial support. The ideal candidate will display discretion and confidentiality at all times. They will have a good eye for detail and great communications skills to allow them to deal with other stakeholders in the business and external vendors.

  • Handling of sensitive and confidential matters
  • Scheduling household maintenance and running errands
  • Dealing with invoices and handling bill payments
  • Updating spreadsheets for household accounts and ensuring reminders are set for renewal of accounts
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for the Chairman, Director and their family as required
  • Producing reports and presentations
  • Diary management and collation and preparation of documents for meetings
  • Drafting of letters/emails on behalf of the Chairman and Director as required
  • Occasional projects which could include helping with publishing of papers for the Chairman

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Detail orientated and highly organised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full driving license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations
  • A level of flexibility is required.
