GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a highly successful and fast-growing company based in Willenhall. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Personal Assistant (Engineering) to join their team on a full time, permanent, contract.

Our client is a leading and innovative organisation in a specialist defence related industry.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate previous experience working as a PA within an Engineering company. Please only apply if you meet this requirement.

The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Thursday, 07:30am – 16:00pm and Friday, 07:30am – 13:00pm.

This role comes with a highly competitive basic salary of up to £35,000 which is demonstrable with experience, plus additional company benefits.

Personal Assistant (Engineering) overview:

  • As an Engineering PA, you will be required to perform basic administrative tasks to support the Director.
  • You will have high-level administrative and IT skills, have previously worked with a technical and engineering manager, be familiar with the technical, design and engineering departments and with the day to day running of an engineering business, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Personal Assistant (Engineering) desired skills and experience:

  • Preferably 5+ years in an Engineering/Mechanical/Design/Project/Manufacturing Environment.
  • A strong background in Engineering is essential.
  • You will have a good level of computer literacy, be proficient in, Excel, Word, MS Office and Email Systems.
  • You will be flexible, adaptable to a range of working methods and processes
  • Be well organised, good at problem solving, able to communicate technical and practical concepts and be a team player with the ability to work and communicate confidently and effectively with Senior Management
  • Liaise between the engineering, design and manufacturing teams on behalf of the Technical and Engineering Director and on any projects allocated by the Director.
  • Liaise with and co-ordinate staff on a daily basis, allocating work as instructed by the Director.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations that apply to the machines and work environment and with all policies and procedures within the framework of the company and H&S requirements.
