Purpose of the role: This position will play a vital role in developing a robust engineering organization through the fast-paced growth we expect to see. You will work directly with the Chief Engineer to present information, manage engineering documentation, build processes, and pull the right people together to push initiatives forward to build the company together. Key Tasks & Responsibilities:-Read through technical documentation and legislation, and hold review sessions with Chief Engineer to summarize necessary information and help create actionable items
  • Involve relevant stakeholders to collect requirements and create documentation such as system specifications, design guidelines, etc
  • Help manage online project management tools and implement changes to improve efficiency
  • Work with Chief Engineer to create initiatives, involve stakeholders and follow up on deliverables
  • Attend targeted meetings and events, take minutes, and summarize to Chief Engineer for key decisions
  • Work with Chief Engineer in HR and recruitment efforts with help creating job descriptions, filtering candidates, and moving candidates through the recruitment process
  • Interface with internal and external parties to assist with scheduling events like interviews, VIP events, supplier visits, etc.
  • Draft documents and emails on behalf of Chief Engineer, get them approved and sent
  • Host regular review sessions with Chief Engineer to plan work and summarize information
  • Propose and help implement initiatives to help engineering organization Professional Skills:
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and curiosity, especially within automotive sector
  • Strong reading comprehension - able to summarize and simplify complex bodies of information
  • Ability to create initiatives and momentum with very little direction
  • Personable and professional communication with all parties
  • Extreme discipline and organization with technical processes and documentation
  • Quick, lateral thinking to find simple and robust solutions Personal Attributes:
  • Hands-on experience either in professional or personal environments (Personal projects, factory floor, etc)
