Could you deliver high quality lighting and sound technical support for drama and music performances and examinations in our schools? If this sounds like you, Cheadle Hulme High School are currently searching for a Performing Arts Technician to join our expanding team to support our schools.

This position is contracted on a Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose(For further details on the role, please see the Job Description attached via TES)

  • Provide set design and stage construction support for shows, workshops, exams, performances and promotional events across the Trust
  • Provide lighting, AV and technical support for events, assemblies and performances across the Trust, including rigging, operating, design, maintenance and repair
  • Provide technical support and guidance for open and promotional events in schools

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous
  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role
