We have a fantastic opportunity for a People Partner to join our team within Vistry Works (Manufacturing) supporting our factories across Leicester, Coalville & Warrington. As our People Partner you will be responsible for providing proactive, value adding, strategically aligned support to the Regional Managing Directors and Regional Directors in the development and delivery of people strategies in line with business goals. The People Partner will work closely with stakeholders across Vistry Works to give expert advice on people issues and organisational changes, along with providing coaching to managers within the business unit.

  • CIPD level 5 or higher
  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role with experience of a multi-site environment
  • Excellent coaching, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to manage a large group of stakeholders at a senior level
  • Delivery focused with the drive to overcome barriers to success
  • Excellent judgement, considered approach and intuition ensures the right decisions are made for both the individual and the business
  • Monitoring and implementing HR policy and practice
  • Handling high volume of complex employee relations issues
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations
  • Excellent understanding of HR best practice and ability to apply this to employee relations cases

More about the People Partner role…

  • Partner closely with allocated regions/business units, focusing on building strong relationships with Directors, Associate Directors, Heads of Departments and Senior Managers
  • Attend relevant management and department meetings to advise on People projects and changes.
  • Manage all People related queries and escalate or delegate as appropriate
  • Work closely with the regional Head of Finance to understand the resource plan and to track this throughout the financial year
  • Provide advice and guidance to management on employee relations issues
  • Prepare regular board packs
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of employment law and advise your management on changes that impact them
  • Working with the Divisional Head of People and other People Partners, manage the performance management process to ensure SMART objectives are set and reviewed regularly
  • Coach line management regarding ongoing performance issues
  • Working with the Divisional Head of People and other People Partners, to manage the annual pay review process including 1-to-1 discussions with senior management and facilitation of calibration meetings
  • Support other Divisional Head of People to deliver organisational change programmes and champion a best practice approach to change management within business units
  • Working in collaboration with the Group Recruitment Lead, Divisional People Development Partners and the Fleet & Facilities team to ensure consistency of process across all sites and offices
  • Delivery of People presentation at Group welcome days and leadership programmes
  • Work collaboratively with managers providing input and support for business decisions offering appropriate challenge and working to ensure that decisions are aligned with organisational direction and priorities
  • Proactively monitor all relevant People data to identify emerging trends and then coach the business to take appropriate action or intervention
