Role: People Advisor / HR

Location: Lancashire

We are recruiting a People Advisor / HR role for a fantastic and highly regarded hospitality operator.

This company put ’people first’ and this role is key to helping the line managers, giving them the knowledge and support needed to look after their teams and ensure they can recruit and manage their teams in the best possible way.

The role will mainly be head office based (with some potential for some home working time). The People Advisor will regularly take calls from the site managers and deal with any HR, Recrutiment and policy queries and be able to advise on issues that arise. They will provide a strong level of support and advice. The role will also entail research, data and policy / procedure analysis. Any relevant complex queries will be referred to the relevant People Partner.

The Role
  • Deliver a first-class advisory service to line managers within this fantastic hospitality operation.
  • Advise on employee relations, HR, people policy, processes and recruitment.
  • Build great relationships with onsite teams and build a good knowledge of the teams within the sites to help best advise where necessary.
  • Refer any complex queries to the People Partners.
  • To support the review and maintenance of policies and procedures within the company
  • Work in partnership with the People Partners to share and report insight from HR queries.
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and meets compliance.
  • Support in the administration of HR activities and projects
  • Occasional on-site meetings to attend.
  • Survey successful and unsuccessful candidate recruitment and manage exit survey data.
The Candidate
  • 2-3 years HR advisory experience, with a minimum of CIPD Associate Membership
  • Experience of working within the Hospitality or Retail sector is highly desirable
  • Have a passion for HR and people management, with strong up to date Employment Law knowledge
  • Have experience providing advice and guidance to all levels of staff and offering guidance and support with written documentation.
  • Experience of building relationships with confidence and be able to challenge managers when necessary.
  • Ability to quickly establish and understand any issues and confidently offer solutions.
  • Have good working knowledge of Excel to analyse basic data.
  • Have excellent organisation skills to manage a diverse workload across administration, providing advice and project support.
