Pension Specialist

Due to continued expansion our client is recruiting a qualified, experienced and proactive Pension Specialist to complement their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will be supporting their most successful and well respected Private Wealth IFAs in achieving their objectives. Key responsibilities will include;
  • Advise senior management, investment advisers and other relevant staff on technical and regulatory developments in relation to pension transfer and opt out business.
  • Be responsible for carrying out or arranging for training staff on technical and regulatory developments in relation to pension transfer and opt out business.
  • Comply with the firm’s pension transfer procedures and other relevant procedures.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the FCA Principles and rules and the Individual Conduct Rules as listed above.
  • Sign off all pension transfer and opt out cases before and after the recommendation is sent to the client using the relevant checklist(s).
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years within a comparable role, Ideally diploma level 4 qualified and additional pension specific qualifications would be a distinct advantage. A DB Pension Transfer background/knowledge is essential.

In addition, you will demonstrate excellent personal organisational and administrative skills with a proven ability to excel in a high-pressured environment whilst consistently meeting deadlines.
