We currently have a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector role available for a local company, on a permanent basis. You will need to have PDI Technician / vehicle inspection experience to be successful in securing this position, and we can offer an immediate start. The Job: PDI Technician / Mechanical Vehicle Inspector The role of a Motor Vehicle Inspector will see you carrying out 220 point checks on vehicles due to be sold for retail purposes This will be a full 220-point inspection, covering all mechanical elements such as brakes, Mechanical and main electrical functions Your role will be to carry specific mechanical checks and tests to ensure the information provided at auction is correct and that an accurate assessment of the vehicle’s condition can be provided prior to sale. Work to set KPI productivity targets -Ensure the accurate data processing of your finding after inspection (i.e. damage, defects found) Maintain a clean and organised work environment The candidate should be confident using all the necessary tools and materials, have experience with or be happy with working in a high-volume modern body shop. If you have a background working for the RAC or the AA as a Vehicle Inspector, then this would be a great fit for your experience Mechanical Vehicle Inspector experience is essential to be successful in this role.Job Experience: PDI Technician / Mechanical Vehicle Inspector A background within PDI or mechanical vehicle inspection is essential City & Guilds OR NVQ level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and repair Experience of working in vehicle repairs RAC or AA background as an inspector would be an advantage Full vehicle inspection both mechanical and electrical essential You must have worked in a fast-paced environment and have good hand-eye coordinationIf you are an experienced PDI Technician and are looking for a new opportunity then please contact Rochelle at Clear Automotive on (phone number removed).
