Job Introduction

BRUSH are looking to hire a Payroll Officer to join its HR Team.

This role will manage the end-to-end payroll and associated processes, to high accuracy and ensuring strict deadlines are met, in accordance with best practice, legislation and operating procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process multiple monthly payrolls across the Group
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll related questions
  • Manage taxable benefits through P11d and tax at source processes
  • With support from the HR Director manage the payroll provider relationship, reviewing their service and performance
  • Work in partnership with Finance to obtain monthly payroll sign off
  • Process pension contributions on a monthly basis
  • Manage the auto enrolment process
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, data requirements and Company Policies
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Deliver effective communications across the business on payroll processes and requirements
  • Develop and improve payroll processes
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
  • Provide support with maintenance and on development of the HR Database
  • Participation in wider HR projects
Person Specification
  • Experience with managing payroll services
  • Experience in delivering multiple monthly payroll to high accuracy in a similar-sized business of 500 employees
  • Experience in pension contribution and auto enrolment processing
  • Experience in administering taxable benefits
  • Practical knowledge of legislation and procedures key to payroll including GDPR and data management regulations
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Great attention to detail and analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
