Overview

This role will be perfect if your skillset in payroll is more project focussed rather than team management. It’s not for everyone and certainly isn’t the only way you can "progress"

You’ll be joining as the payroll expert working with senior management to highlight the key areas for improvement with their systems (which do need upgrading) and processes using your prior experience to streamline the department ensuring its managed well moving forwards.

Day to day you’ll also be processing the monthly payroll for around 300+ employees, strengthening the relationship with the bureau and resolving internal queries.

It’s a 6-month contract with potential for extension but if you’re available immediately but needing the security of a perm role that can be considered too as they do have growth plans

Requirements
  • In depth technical payroll knowledge is a must - pensions, furlough, car allowances etc.
  • Prior project experience of system upgrades and improvements would be highly beneficial
  • Ideally able to start as soon as possible
  • Happy for hybrid office working
  • Happy to commit to the 6-month period
  • There is potential for this to be on a straight permanent basis if you can start immediately as well
