Payroll Administrator

Location – Coventry (with hybrid working an option, depending on business needs)

Permanent

Salary - £20,067 to £23,608 (depending on experience), plus a generous pension scheme, and a range of company benefits

The Opportunity


The Payroll Administrator is part of the Payroll team, and their main function and priority is to ensure all Cadent employees are paid accurately and on time, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting across the business with queries and questions.


What we ask of you


  • As part of the team, you will pro-actively manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle that affect our employees pay

  • Demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values, positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach, and a philosophy of safe team working

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, in HR and outside, to understand the business

  • Input and import payroll data, including (but not limited it) setting up of new starter bank account and tax details, calculating payments, running reports and inputting pension data

  • Assist with reconciliation of payroll interfaces, and highlight issues where necessary

  • Process fit notes, MAT B1 forms and SC3 certificates in respect of any sick, maternity and paternity pay

  • Deal with employee payroll queries, and escalate priority issues

  • Where required liaise with HMRC regarding employee matters

  • Raise ad-hoc payments in accordance with the correct procedure

What You’ll Bring


  • Experience using SAP
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of HMRC legislation (including payroll, PAYE and NIC)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Good planning and organisational skills, coupled with initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a Team
  • Ability to achieve strict deadlines
  • Adaptable to change
